Grassroots Community U4 Program - 3 and 4 Years Old Girls & Boys!
GOALKING Soccer Academy has adopted the Canada Soccer Pathway, following the Long-Term Player Development Model mandated by the Canadian Soccer Association, and monitored by the Alberta Soccer Association.
The program is led by Coach Armando Sanchez Lona, with Program Director Humberto Capriz. The program is aligned with the Active Start best practices outlined by the Canada Soccer Association. Coach Armando Sanchez leads our Academy's youngest players through developmentally-appropriate, fun and engaging activities and games designed to foster a love of sport, while improving fundamental movement skills.
In this first development stage for players, GOALKING gives the youngest players the opportunity to develop basic movement skills like running, jumping, landing, kicking, throwing, and catching in a fun setting built around informal play and positive reinforcement.
The U4 program requires that one of the parents, or a family member (over 16 years old) participate with the player in the training sessions and games. This is mandatory. To be on the turf, it is mandatory (no exceptions) to have clean indoor shoes, either turf or indoor shoes, or even running shoes (no outdoor cleats allowed). Any other visitor are invited to wait off the turf, either watching the practice outside the netting, or waiting in our lobby.
